Bonjour

Paris feels unique, as if everything you do from eating a hunk of baguette to riding your bike, the sound of the french language, to the fashion, the architecture and the art, is somehow more stylish because you're doing it in Paris.

I have always been fascinated with why Parisians fashion seems so classic, stylish, unique. As I sat and people watched at an array of different spots in the city, I became aware of the common scarf.   Night, day, cold, hot, casual, dressy, worn in many different ways by many different people. I'm glad I packed a few in my otherwise non stylish suitcase of clothes.

While on the subject of stylish, how can we not visit Printemps while in the fashion capital of the world? This rather magnificent mall has all the very high end retailers you could imagine and a rather large dent in the wallet could be made, unfortunately or fortunately depending on the way you look at it ours was unscathed, as we had two darling wee girls following us around.

Before our trip to Paris, I wondered if the reason for my fascination with all things French was because of my lack of travel experience or was it my mothers appreciation for French names when I was born. On visiting I realised that its just how I imagined it, now the problem is, I can imagine myself living there.
