Over the girls life's I have taken hundreds of photos. It has been an amazing way to document their growth and change. I love looking back, especially the ones of them as babies and toddlers going about their business. I still take lots of photos but I have not been very disciplined in doing anything with them. So my goal for 2013 is to start making photo books. I started these some years ago ( 2 were completed) but I lost motivation and the photos just kept piling up.
Before we left NZ, I started to worry about, losing all the amazing photos of the girls, that we had taken over the years. The thought of having no visual hard copies of our memories made me panic. So I went about saving all our photos onto an external hard drive to take with us, also organised them into usable folders on my laptop to store at a friends and then went about saving them onto pen drives to store at our storage unit, yes, yes a little over kill. Now the problem with all our travel photos, iPad/mac laptop and the need for a new external hard drive, oh and photo books, Snap fish are going to make a killing out of me.
But back to the original reason for this post. A portrait project. I have decided to take, a photo each week of the girls, thats 52 weeks x 2 girls = 104 photos.
The photos will tell the story of Molly and Lily's year, hopefully capturing, expressions, emotions and gestures.
