'Eat them or not, but there is nothing else', is our mantra, and can be heard often at our dinner table. Yes over the years I have worried that they are not eating enough of the good stuff, worried because Lily just wont eat the green stuff. Since moving the girls have had to try a variety of different foods, like soups. Lunch at school everyday starts with a different type of soup and it isn't of the creamy variety. This morning I heard Molly telling Lily that it was borscht soup today ( Russian beetroot soup) by Lily's reply I gather this isn't one of her favourites.
In the first 6 months of living here all of us have had some sort of stomach upset all in differing severity's (I wont go into detail). Molly who is never sick and is proud of her no absentee record at school last year, has had a variety of different viruses, even a bout of the flu. So with every ones immunity down this Muma needs to take action.
WHAT TO DO?
1 lesson on how we catch bugs
2 lesson on how to wash hands using not just water but soap or sanitiser
3 lesson on the importance of getting enough sleep
4 lesson on the importance of a variety of different foods
5 trip to the pharmacy for vitamins
6 trip to the supermarket for Kefir (read about it here)
SO THE QUESTION IS
How to disguise this fermented, sour milk drink, that is going to assist in rebuilding the girls immune system.
